“For Well You Know That It’s a Fool…”

["...who plays it cool by making his world a little colder". Need I say more?]

Kitchens are usually messy, but never this much. This kitchen was such a mess, do dirty, so disorganized, that most things were in the last place you’d look for them. And those who were in the right place, well… poor them.

The mess was so much that you wouldn’t be surprised to find knifes in the pot drawer, napkins in the fridge, or the ladle triumphant on top of the microwave. And this is how the ice cube met the match. He fell in love instantly. He couldn’t resist her gorgeous set of red hair, her slim figure, or her tanned skin color.

Yet, their love was still going unnurtured. Not because she wouldn’t take him, not even because he couldn’t help but melt down every time he spent time with her, but because of something worse.

“It’s all their fault” he thought, “Theirs and their judging eyes’. Can’t they see that I enjoy melting down? Don’t they know that love makes that to everyone? What do glasses know about love? They spend their whole life locked out in a cupboard with one an other. It’s just so easy for them” But he couldn’t help but surrender to the whispered gossips. And so he spent hid days in the freezer, far away from his love, dreaming about a perfect world where ice cubes and matches could share their love for one another.

Until, on one of the many sleepless nights, the ice cube escaped the freezer to meet with his love. And so, as the match lit her gorgeous set of hair up and the ice cube melt down, the entire kitchen woke up to the dim light that was their love. The judging eyes would no longer bother the ice cube, for now, well now he is water.
